E Africa is pleased to announce the opening of its H1 2026 All-Female Internship Program, a program aimed at empowering young women in the domains of innovation, information technology, and public health. In Africa’s expanding health innovation ecosystem, this innovative program aims to provide aspiring women professionals the knowledge, expertise, and self-assurance they need to take the lead.
About the program
The eHealth Africa Internship Program gives young graduates and professionals in their early careers the chance to obtain real-world experience in data-driven development and health technology. Interns directly support programs that enhance health systems and people’s lives throughout the continent through mentoring, teamwork, and exposure to real-world projects.
The program will include an All-Female Cohort for the first time, highlighting eHA’s dedication to gender equity, diversity, and inclusion in the global health and technology industries. This program seeks to inspire the next generation of female leaders in Africa’s innovation environment and create a more representative workforce by emphasising women’s professional development.
The goal of the 2026 All-Female Cohort Internship is to improve young African women’s employability, leadership potential, and digital competency. While learning from eHA’s diverse teams, interns will be exposed to the nexus of technology, data management, and health.
The program fosters leadership skills and equips participants to assume significant roles in influencing the direction of health technology and improving systems throughout the continent. The curriculum fosters creativity, resilience, and teamwork via project-based learning and structured mentoring—skills necessary for success in the fast-paced workplace of today.

Eligibility Criteria
- Gender:Â Open exclusively to female candidates.
- Education:Â Applicants must hold a first degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Public Health, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Experience:Â A maximum of two years of professional experience is acceptable; prior experience in health systems, ICT, or research is an advantage.
- NYSC Requirement:Â Completion, exemption, or exclusion from the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program is mandatory.
- Graduation Year:Â Only candidates who graduated in 2021 or later are eligible to apply.
