About the Scholarship Program:

We believe that young people are pivotal in changing the world and for this to happen, we need to significantly lower the barriers for them to access the opportunities to do so. We are committed to providing young people in Africa with the tools they need to become transformational leaders, whether it be through entrepreneurial education, professional development fellowships, or scholarships to keep young people living in low-income communities in school. Our mission is to break down the barriers that hinder the upward economic mobility of young people in Africa. We believe that every young individual on the continent possesses potential and deserves equal access to opportunities for growth, education, and economic advancement. Through innovative programs, partnerships, and grassroots initiatives, we strive to equip Africa’s youth with the skills, resources, and support they need to thrive and our vision is to empower African Youth to Drive Down Poverty and Unemployment.

Benefits of the Scholarship Program:

Selected scholars for this scholarship program will receive the following benefits: 

• ₦50,000 tuition support
• A chance to join the Launchpad Fellowship for mentorship, learning opportunities, and paid internships. 

Eligibility Criteria of the Scholarship Program:

Interested applicants for this scholarship program MUST fulfill the following requirements:

• Applicants MUST be undergraduate or postgraduate students studying in a government approved institution
• Applicants MUST be registered citizens of Nigeria
• Applicants MUST be of good academic standing
• Applicants MUST be willing to share their social media accounts profile links (LinkedIn and/or Instagram)

Supporting Documents:

Interested and eligible applicants would be required to provide the following:

• Applicants will be required to provide answers to the following essay questions:
  • Tell us about a challenge you’ve faced in your education journey and how you overcame it. What did you learn about yourself? (Minimum of 100 words)
  • Imagine your life five years from now. What impact would you like to be making in your community or field of study? (Minimum of 100 words)
  • If selected for this scholarship, how would it help you achieve your academic and personal goals? (Minimum of 100 words)
• Passport photograph

Application Deadline:

Applications for the Thrive scholarships 2025 are open for entries until the 15th of September, 2025. Early applications are highly encouraged.
