Claude Campus Ambassadors Programme 2026: Apply for $3,600 Stipend
Applications are now open for the Claude Campus Ambassadors Programme 2026, an opportunity for students and researchers around the world to lead student-driven AI initiatives on their campuses with support from Anthropic, the company behind Claude.
The programme has three tracks for undergraduate students, graduate students, and PhD students/postdoctoral researchers. Selected campus ambassadors will receive a US$3,600 cash stipend.
Note: This is a paid campus ambassador/training programme, not a conventional scholarship.
About the Claude Campus Ambassadors Programme
The programme supports students who want to help build AI fluency and communities on campus while gaining experience working with Anthropic.
Ambassadors can organize workshops, discussions, hackathons, demonstrations, and research-focused activities depending on their track. The programme runs for the full school year, from September 2026 to June 2027.
1. Claude Builder Club – Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students passionate about bringing AI fluency to their campus can apply to lead a Claude Builder Club.
Selected ambassadors will:
- Collaborate with Anthropic to set up and lead a club for AI builders on their campus.
- Organize technical and non-technical workshops featuring Anthropic guest speakers.
- Run hackathons and demo nights for student builders.
- Share regular updates, tips, and resources such as API credits with members.
- Receive a US$3,600 cash stipend.
2. Claude Campus Conversations – Graduate Students
This track is for STEM or humanities master’s students who are passionate about ensuring AI has a positive impact on education and society.
Selected ambassadors will:
- Host discussion groups and events with fellow students on important questions surrounding AI and society.
- Help students build AI fluency by creating spaces where they can showcase and discuss their Claude builds.
- Visit the Anthropic office and connect with the global ambassador community.
- Receive a US$3,600 cash stipend.
3. Claude Science – PhD Students and Postdocs
PhD students and postdoctoral researchers who use AI to advance their research can apply to lead Claude Science workshops for fellow researchers.
Selected ambassadors will:
- Lead a community of AI-native PhD scientists and postdocs on their campus.
- Organize Claude for Science workshops and participate in speaker events with Anthropic’s math and science teams.
- Build their expertise on how AI is changing different science fields.
- Engage directly with Anthropic scientists through workshops and research.
- Receive a US$3,600 cash stipend.

Who Can Apply?

Applicants must:
- Be 18 years or older.
- Have work authorization in their country of study.
- Be an undergraduate, graduate student, PhD student, or postdoctoral researcher, depending on the relevant track.
The graduate and PhD programmes may select from a smaller pool of schools during the initial pilot period.
Do You Need Prior AI or Claude Experience?
The programme expects applicants to have some level of AI fluency and Claude proficiency, but you do not need to be an expert in every area.
For the PhD Track, applicants should be scientists who are actively using Claude in their research.
Is the Programme Free?
Yes. It is free to apply and free to participate.
What If You Were an Ambassador Last Year?
Previous ambassadors must reapply. However, applicants should indicate on the application form if they were an ambassador last year.
Programme Duration
The Claude Campus Ambassadors Programme runs for a full school year:
September 2026 – June 2027.
