Applications are now open for the CivicHive Creative Changemakers Fellowship (CCMF) 2026, a three-month hybrid fellowship designed for Nigerian creatives who use storytelling, media, and art to drive civic engagement, democratic participation, accountability, and social change.
The fellowship will bring together 15 emerging creatives who are passionate about using their creative ideas and content to help make governance work better for the people.
About the Creative Changemakers Fellowship
Creatives play an increasingly important role in shaping public narratives, driving civic engagement, demanding accountability, and mobilising citizens.
The 2026 CCMF is designed in response to challenges including shrinking civic space, increasing misinformation, and governance challenges in Nigeria and across Africa.
The fellowship combines virtual learning, in-person creative labs, mentorship, and hands-on production. Fellows will not only learn new skills but will also produce evidence-based creative work addressing real social issues.
What the Fellowship Offers

Who Can Apply?

Who Is the Fellowship For?

CivicHive has previously worked with creatives including filmmakers, podcasters, content creators, scriptwriters, game developers, photographers, skit makers, videographers, poets/spoken-word artists, vloggers and bloggers.
Programme Duration
The 2026 fellowship will run for three months, from:
September to November 2026.

The programme will use a hybrid format, combining:

Participants should be prepared to commit 8 hours per week to fellowship activities.
