Growth Beyond Grades Cohort 2: RISE Future of Work Fellowship 2026
Applications are open for Growth Beyond Grades Cohort 2, the RISE Future of Work Fellowship by the Reboot Wellbeing and Empowerment Foundation (R-WEF).
This is an eight-week virtual fellowship designed for university students and recent graduates across Africa to build practical skills, career clarity, wellbeing, and readiness for the future of work.
What Will Fellows Build?
The fellowship will help participants develop:
- Career clarity
- Wellbeing and resilience
- Responsible AI and digital readiness
- Professional communication
- Networks
- Opportunity action
Who Should Apply?
The fellowship is open to:
- Current tertiary students, preferably Year 2/Level 200 and above
- Recent graduates within 0–3 years
- Young people currently based in an African country
- Applicants who are ready to attend live sessions and complete practical work
Fellowship Cohort Size
A total of 50 Core Fellowship places are available for Cohort 2.
Peer Learning Model
Selected fellows will have the opportunity to participate in structured R-WEF learning with up to three peers.
This provides participants with an opportunity to learn alongside others, share experiences, and maintain peer accountability throughout the fellowship.
What Is the Fellowship Commitment?
This is a working fellowship, not a webinar series.
Participants should expect:
- Live sessions
- Practical weekly outputs
- Peer accountability
- Baseline and endline surveys
Applicants should therefore be prepared to actively participate throughout the eight-week programme.
Eligibility Requirements
You are eligible if you:
- Are based in an African country
- Are a current tertiary student, preferably Year 2/Level 200 or above, or a recent graduate within 0–3 years
- Are ready to join an eight-week virtual fellowship
- Can complete practical activities and participate in peer accountability
- Are seeking clearer and more practical next steps towards meaningful work
