Eligibility Criteria for the Scholarship Program:

Eligible Programs:

• Science, Engineering, and Technology
• Medicine and Pharmacy
• Business
• Computer Science and Communications Technology
• Vocational and Industrial Technology Education
• Agriculture

Student Requirements:

To be eligible for the Zumunta National Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Must hail from one of the Nineteen Northern States and the Federal Capital Territory.
• Must have gained admission into a degree program at a Nigerian university recognized by the National University Commission (NUC).
• Must have passed the JAMB (or equivalent) exam with a qualifying score or possess valid WAEC (or equivalent) results.
• Must demonstrate financial need through appropriate documentation.

Selection Criteria:

Applicants will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

• Letter of admission into a recognized Nigerian university degree program.
• Passing grade in JAMB (or equivalent) or valid WAEC (or equivalent) results.
• Demonstration of financial need through appropriate documentation.
• Submission of a two-page essay on the “Importance of the chosen field of study to Northern Nigeria.”

• University Admission Letter
• A short essay of two pages on the “Importance of area of study to Northern Nigeria.”

Application Deadline:

Application for the scholarship program are open for entries until the 20th of June, 2025. Early applications are highly encouraged.
