About the Scholarship Program:

At YAYEF, we believe that every young person with academic potential deserves the chance to pursue their dreams, regardless of their financial circumstances. We have launched a ₦10 million initiative committed to increasing access to higher education for young people of Kwara State origin. Our mission is to support financially challenged students who have demonstrated academic potential but face financial barriers that threaten their ability to start or continue their education. Through YAYEF tuition support fund, we aim to ease the burden of educational expenses so you can focus on what truly matters: learning, growing, and contributing meaningfully to your community. We are committed to helping you write your success story and build a brighter future for yourself and for Kwara State.

We are dedicated to empowering bright, high-achieving students of Kwara State origin in public universities across Nigeria through the provision of scholarships that open doors, ease tuition challenges, and unlock limitless potential.

Scholarship Categories:

The YAYEF Tuition Support Fund offers two categories of scholarships tailored to different stages of your academic journey.

Campus Starter: New Entrants (UTME/DE route)

This category is for fresh university students, including 100-level entrants and those admitted via Direct Entry. Whether you’re starting right after secondary school or joining with a diploma or equivalent qualification, you are eligible here.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicants must be an indigene of Kwara State.
• Applicants must have written the 2025 JAMB exam and passed.
• Applicants must have received admission into a public university in Nigeria.
• Applicants must be between 16 and 21 years of age.

Supporting Documents:

• O-level Result.
• A-Level result.
• UTME/DE slip.
• Admission letter.
• Proof of origin (LGA certificate).
• A brief statement (maximum 300 words) titled “My Journey to University: What Drives Me and the Future I Want to Build”.

Campus Achiever: For Existing University Students (GPA Track)

This category is for current undergraduate students, from 200 to 400 level, who have already completed at least one academic year. This is for students who have shown resilience and a commitment to academic excellence.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicants must be an indigene of Kwara State.
• Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited public university in Nigeria.
• Applicants must have completed at least one academic year.
• Applicants must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.0 on a 5.0 scale, or its equivalent.
• Applicants should provide evidence of academic achievement.

Required Documents:

• Your most recent academic transcript or official results.
• Your student ID and admission letter.
• Proof of origin (LGA certificate).
• A brief statement (maximum 300 words) titled “Staying the Course: How I Maintain Academic Excellence and Why It Matters”.

Selection Considerations:

We are especially interested in applicants who show strong potential for academic success, have a clear vision for their future , and demonstrate leadership, resilience, good character, or community involvement.

Important Information:

• Number of Awardees: We have limited slots available, and selection will be competitive.
• Funding Coverage: This fund will primarily cover tuition fees for the current academic year.
• Notification: Shortlisted candidates will be contacted directly via email or phone.
• Selection: The foundation reserves the right to select and announce successful applicants.

Applications for this scholarship program are open for entries until the 21st of October, 2025. Early applications are highly encouraged.
