The General Ibrahim Attahiru Foundation Education Scholarship Application for 2026

About the Scholarship Program:

In marking the 4th anniversary, the Board decided to commence the second
priority area of the Foundation in the provision of scholarships to
children and dependent’s of Army personnel and veterans in Nigerian
universities, starting with the 2025/26 session intake. It is a programme designed to encourage our youths, most of whom have abundance of potentials, whilst the opportunities are getting rarer.


This will scholarship programs is designed to :

• Commitment to the Public Good. GIAF prioritizes the improvement of Nigeria as a country, and welfare of Nigerians as a people. We encourage cooperation to support the most vulnerable in society, and are neither driven by personal gain nor profit.
• Accountability: GIAF works in collaboration with our target beneficiaries and we are accountable to them in carrying out interventions. Our interventions are carried out based on the four (4) core humanitarian principles of humanity, impartiality, neutrality, and independence.
• Commitment to the Public Good. GIAF prioritizes the improvement of Nigeria as a country, and welfare of Nigerians as a people. We encourage cooperation to support the most vulnerable in society, and are neither driven by personal gain nor profit.

Eligibility Criteria for the Scholarship Program:

Interested applicants for this scholarship program MUST fulfill the following requirements:

• Applicants must be dependents of serving, retired or deceased Nigerian Army Personnel.
• Applicants MUST have exceptional academic performance, showcased by outstanding O-level and JAMB results, will be a key selection criterion. Applicants will be considered from all six geopolitical zones of Nigeria.
• Inclusivity is a core principle, with gender balance as a priority.
