Eligibility
To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a 100 level undergraduate student
- Be a full-time Muslim student
- Must be enrolled in one of the eligible public universities in Nigeria:
- University of Lagos, Akoka
- Lagos State University, Ojo
- Lagos State University of Science & Technology
- Lagos State University of Education
- Be between 16 and 19 years old
- Have at least six credit passes in SSCE in one sitting
- Score a minimum of 250 in UTME before admission
- Be physically, mentally, and psychologically stable
- Exhibit good moral conduct and leadership qualities
Required Documents
Applicants must prepare and upload the following during submission:
- JAMB Admission Letter
- Proof of studentship (student ID, biodata form, etc.)
- Reference letter from a reputable Islamic organization
- Must be on letterheaded paper and addressed to The Executive Director, First Class Muslim Foundation, Lagos, Nigeria
- Generic or improperly addressed letters may lead to disqualification
- Birth Certificate or affidavit of age
- Original WAEC results
- Original UTME results
- Current result slip showing GPA (if available)
- Personal statement (up to 300 words) explaining why the applicant deserves the scholarship
- Typed in Century Gothic, size 12, spacing 1.5
- AI-generated or AI-adjusted personal statements above 20 % similarity are prohibited and may lead to disqualification
