About the Program:
Welcome to the Helix BIOGEN Institute, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Nigeria, a leading hub for biotechnology innovation, scientific research, and youth empowerment in West Africa. We are pleased to announce the 2024 Undergraduate Research Grant Program, designed to support innovative, student-led research projects in the fields of Life Sciences This grant aims to foster scientific curiosity, promote hands-on research experience, and build a new generation of African scientists equipped to tackle local and global challenges through evidence-based innovation. We make every effort to accelerate research in life science through in-depth technical skills, training, capacity building and artificial intelligence in our specialized field to inspire innovations. At the center of it all are honesty and integrity, quality services, and provision of excellent professional and technical expertise.

Eligibility Criteria of the Program:
To be eligible for this grant, applicants must:
- Applicants MUST be currently enrolled as an undergraduate student in a recognized Nigerian university (minimum 300-level).
- Applicants MUST be pursuing a course in Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetics, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Applicants MUST follow Helix BIOGEN Institute on all official social media platforms (see links below) and provide your social media handles as part of this application.
- Applicants MUST submit a clear, feasible research proposal (500 words) aligned with our focus areas.
Application Deadline:
Applications for the Helix Biogen Institute Undergraduate Project Research Grant are open for entries until the 30th of September, 2025. Early applications are highly encouraged.
