This scholarship is included in the DJ Cares program, designed to minimize the number of students at risk of leaving school because of financial issues and to inspire them to perform well academically.
Digital Jewels Scholarship Criteria
To qualify for the selection of the Digital Jewels Scholarship award, applicants must confirm that they fulfill all the criteria outlined below.
- Course of study related to information technology. Specifically, Computer Science (either single or combined degree), Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 3.75/5 every semester since starting university.
- Should have studied at a university in Ghana for a minimum of 2 years.
- Must be a Ghanaian and not older than 23 years by October of the year of application.
- Proficiency in the English language is required (both spoken and written).
- You must provide two (2) credible references, with one being from your current institution, such as a Head of Department, Dean, etc.
Dj Cares Scholarship Benefits and Schedule
A recipient of the Dj Cares Scholarship will be awarded a cash prize of ₦200,000.00 to assist in obtaining an IT-related degree.
Besides the scholarship, Digital Jewels will provide placement opportunities during holidays, specified Industrial Training Periods, and Youth Service.
