About the Program:
The Women Techsters Program is a free digital skills-to-employability program designed to support girls and women (between the ages of 10-40) from low-income and marginalized African communities with digital knowledge and skills, to access decent jobs and entrepreneurship, as a pathway to improved economic livelihood. It is a blended model of advocacy, community-centred learning structure, technical and soft skills multi-competence training, mentorship, job matching, and business incubation.
The Women Techsters Bootcamp strives to provide adequate learning opportunities for participants to develop relevant coding skills, jump-start careers, or fill in knowledge gaps from emerging technologies. It is a three-week introductory class for girls and women aged between 16 and 40 in one of six learning tracks: Cybersecurity, Data Analysis, Product Design, Product Management, Software Development and Technical Project Management
Objectives of the Techsters Program:
- Empowering Women and Girls between ages 10-40 in Underserved Communities across Africa.
- To provide access to meaningful and fulfilling decent work to enhance economic empowerment and sustainability and improve livelihoods.
- To foster economic prosperity and reduce poverty by providing access to free digital skilling opportunities.
- To close gender inequality gaps by providing equitable access to opportunities and resources for marginalized and vulnerable young girls and women.
- To promote economic growth through entrepreneurship by providing the right support structure and resources for young women to start and grow highly scalable technology and technology – enabled businesses.
- To drive awareness on the importance of digital literacy and participation in the digital economy through advocacy campaigns targeting young girls and women, guardians and societal leaders.

Eligibility Criteria for the Program:
Interested applicants for this program MUST fulfill the following requirements:
- Applicants MUST be females with an interest in Tech
- Applicants MUST be within the ages of 16-40 years old
- This application is open to women in Ghana, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Egypt, DR Congo, South Africa, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Algeria, South Sudan, Morocco, Angola, Mozambique, Madagascar, Sierra Leone, Rwanda, Liberia, Gambia, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Burundi, Cameroon, Eswatini (Swaziland), Lesotho, Malawi, Namibia, Seychelles, and Somalia.Â
