About the Scholarship Program:
Founded in 2024, Dr. Uzor Cares Foundation is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) dedicated to uplifting individuals and communities through the power of friendship and goodwill. Chaired by Dr. Festus S.A. Uzor and guided by a 10-member Board of Trustees, our foundation works tirelessly to improve lives, fostering meaningful change for those in need. With the motto “Leveraging network of friendship and goodwill, lifting the people,” we are committed to creating a better future for individuals and communities, driven by a deep sense of purpose and collective action. Dr. Uzor Cares Foundation envisions a society where poverty is reduced to the barest minimum and where everyone, particularly our youths, have access to essential resources, education and support to lead a meaningful life. Dr. Uzor Cares Foundation is also committed to helping needy individuals in our communities escape poverty through vocational training/skill development, entrepreneurship support, provision of educational opportunities, healthcare assistance and other social services.
Dr. Uzor Cares Foundation is hereby glad to announce its 2026 Round of Bursary for Agbaja (Udi & Ezeagu LGAs) Tertiary Education Students with a focus on supporting students through targeted educational initiatives. In line with our dedication to promoting academic excellence and creating opportunities for deserving youths, we warmly invite eligible students to apply for our Bursary Award. This Bursary Scheme is intended to assist bright students who face financial challenges yet remain committed to their studies. The objective is to ease the financial strain of higher education and ensure that every learner, regardless of economic background, has the chance to achieve academic success.

Eligibility Criteria for the Scholarship Program:
Interested applicants for this scholarship program MUST fulfill the following requirements:
- Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited Nigerian higher educational institution, from 200 level up to their final year.
- Strong academic performance and/or potential must be demonstrated through past records.
- This edition is strictly open to indigenes of Ezeagu and Udi Local Government Areas of Enugu State.
- Applicants are advised to upload all the necessary documents as required in the application portal as failure to upload any one means outright disqualification.

- Recommendation letter from your Traditional Ruler/Councilor/PG

Application Deadline:
Applications for the scholarship program are open for entries until October 30th, 2025. Early applications are highly recommended.
