Introduction
The NUPEMCO Universities Essay Competition 2026 is now open to undergraduate students in Nigerian tertiary institutions across the country’s six geopolitical zones.
The competition, organised by NUPEMCO, challenges students to explore how social media and digital technology can improve the retirement experience of Nigerian workers.
Participants are required to submit an original essay based on the theme:
“Beyond Traditional Service Channels: Leveraging Social Media and Digital Technology to Improve Retirement Experience for Nigerian Workers.”
The competition provides students with an opportunity to showcase their writing, research and critical-thinking abilities while competing for cash prizes and tablets.

The competition has a strict requirement concerning plagiarism and the use of artificial intelligence.
