The Art4Integrity 2025 Competition for Young Nigerians (How to apply)

As part of the way to encourage the use of creative expression as a tool for telling stories that centres around integrity, truth, resilience  and social change in the society, the Art4Integrity competition is an initiative that is organised by integrity Nigeria as a way of celebrating its 30th anniversary. 

Through their platform, artists, story tellers and students who can communicate via story have been given the opportunity and chance to showcase their work to a wide audience, gain recognition and also contribute to the national conversations on values and accountability and even make money by selling their stories. 

The competition is more than a contest but a movement to shape the society and inspire Nigerians to imagine a future built on integrity. 

Eligibility for the scholarship

1. You must  be a citizen of Nigeria. 
2. The eligibility age is between 18 and 35 years as the closing date 
3. Submit as an individual artist or groups of artist. 
4. Submit only one entry per person or group.

• Visual artists, however, are permitted to submit up to three artworks under one entry.

5. Ensure that all your works are original and have not received an award in other places 
6. Any A.I generated work is not accepted and it may lead to disqualification.

The competition provides both financial rewards and long-term benefits for artists.

• ₦2,000,000 cash prize for the Overall Winner.
  
• ₦1,000,000 cash prize for the First Runner-Up.
  
• Exhibition of the top 5 shortlisted artworks.
  
• Showcase at the prestigious Integrity@30 Gala Night.
  
• Media exposure through national newspapers and platforms.
  
• Opportunities to sell artwork at a curated Lagos showcase.
  
• Wider amplification of the artists’ work through Integrity Nigeria’s public campaigns across the country

Deadline for the application. 

The deadline for submission is 18 September 2025. As entries received after this date will not be considered.

We want art that:

1. Shows how young Nigerians are flipping the script
2. Reflects courage, truth, and the power of ideas
3. Challenges corruption, sparks hope, and dreams big for Nigeria

How to participate in this competition

• Create your work:
  • Visual artwork (painting, digital art, drawing)
  • Photograph or photo series
  • Spoken word (Performed) or Fictional Storytelling (Dramatized)
• 2. Give it a title and write a short description (max 300 words):
  • Explain the story and vision behind your submission
  • Explain how it relates to integrity, resilience, and the Nigerian experience

  • Artwork (JPEG, MP4, PDF, or other accepted format)
  • Title + Artist Statement
  • Full name (or group name), age, location, and contact details
  • Complete Declaration Form

Disqualification notice  

• Plagiarism or submission of someone else’s work will lead to immediate disqualification
• All entries must be ethical and align with the spirit of integrity
