About the Scholarship Program:

At Esangbedo Humanitarian Foundation (EHF), we are dedicated to addressing some of Nigeria’s most pressing social challenges. EHF focuses on combating irregular migration, human trafficking, drug abuse, and other social vices that threaten our youth. This scholarship is established in memory of the Late Dominic Ekodon Esangbedo and to honor his unwavering commitment to education throughout his lifetime.

Dominic was one of the pioneer staff of Shell Petroleum Development Company, where he came face to face with the transformative power of STEM and how it can completely transform lives. This profound experience led to his lifelong commitment to education, especially in the sciences, believing that knowledge and technical expertise were the keys to personal and national development

Supporting Documents:

• Proof of LGA of origin (Certificate/Letter)
• Admission letter or school ID
• Current transcript showing Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA)
• HOD recommendation letter
• Recent passport photograph
• Personal statement (max 250 words)

Eligibility Criteria of the Scholarship Program:

Interested candidates for this scholarship program MUST fulfill the following requirements:

• This scholarship provides financial assistance to eligible undergraduate and HND students who demonstrate academic excellence and are committed to contributing to their communities through science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).  This program is exclusively for undergraduate studies.

Applicants looking to apply for this opportunity MUST fall under one of the following categories:

Category 1 –Igueben, Igueben LGA:

• Must be an indigene of Igueben, Edo State
• Enrolled in a STEM program at a public institution in Edo State
• Minimum CGPA of 2.5 (on a 5.0 scale)
• Female students and vulnerable groups encouraged to apply

Category 2 – Other Edo State LGAs:

• Must be an indigene of any Edo State LGA (excluding Igueben)
• Enrolled in a STEM program at a public institution in Edo State
• Minimum CGPA of 3.5 (on a 5.0 scale)
• Female students and vulnerable groups encouraged to apply

Application Timeline:

Applications for this scholarship program has been opened by August 1st, 2025 and will close by the 31st of October, 2025. Successful candidates will be announced by December, 2025.
