Undergraduate students passionate about public health, advocacy, and community engagement can now apply for the VoiceVigili AMR Language Champions Program 2026, a youth-led continental initiative focused on strengthening Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) awareness across Africa.
This program is designed to train and empower students to communicate public health messages in local and indigenous languages, helping bridge information gaps in underserved communities.
About the VoiceVigili AMR Project
VoiceVigili is a youth-driven public health campaign using local languages to drive behavior change and improve Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) awareness.
The initiative focuses on:
- Public health communication
- Risk awareness campaigns
- Community outreach and advocacy
- Youth-led AMR education programs
Selected participants will serve as AMR Language Champions, promoting responsible antibiotic use and health awareness in their communities.
Who Can Apply?
Eligible applicants must:
- Be undergraduate students from recognized universities
- Be passionate about public health, advocacy, or community development
- Be able to communicate in local or indigenous languages
- Be willing to participate in outreach and training activities
Eligible countries include Nigeria, Uganda, Kenya, and Cameroon.
A total of 70 champions will be selected across participating countries.
Roles and Responsibilities
Selected AMR Language Champions will:
- Promote AMR awareness in local languages
- Conduct campus and community outreach
- Support translation of AMR public health messages
- Participate in training and advocacy sessions
- Collaborate with youth public health advocates across Africa
This provides practical experience in health communication, project implementation, and leadership development.
