About the scholarship program:
Welcome to the Techmindset AI For Africa program! At TechMindset, it is the mission is to foster a vibrant and inclusive ecosystem for AI innovation in Africa, and to equip individuals and organizations with the skills, knowledge, and resources needed to develop and deploy AI solutions that address pressing challenges and opportunities across the continent. We are committed to promoting ethical, transparent, and socially responsible AI practices, and to collaborating with partners across sectors and borders to shape the future of AI in Africa and beyond. This exciting initiative is sponsored by the University of Ilorin for the first 500! students who register. The program is designed to empower learners with foundational knowledge in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and guide them in developing innovative solutions to real-world challenges. Participants will collaborate on projects that will be showcased before a panel of industry expert judges for future opportunities for both the project developers and the University of Ilorin.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicant MUST be a citizen of Nigeria
- Applicant MUST be a student of the university of Ilorin
- Applicant MUST have had fundamental knowledge in Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Applicant MUST be ready to dedicate at least 2 hours per week for six weeks for the program
- Applicant MUST actively participate in your assigned group, and adhere to the program requirements.
