The Embassy of Sweden in Abuja, Nigeria has launched a Logo Design Competition to commemorate 65 years of diplomatic relations between Sweden and Nigeria. This special anniversary highlights decades of friendship, cooperation, trade, and shared values between the two nations, and creatives from both countries are invited to participate in marking the occasion with an official logo.

Scholarship Details

This is a creative competition, not a traditional scholarship, but it offers cash prizes, exposure, and recognition for designers and artists. The winning logo will serve as the official emblem of Sweden–Nigeria 65 years of relations, appearing on official platforms, events, and promotional materials throughout 2026.

The theme of the competition is:

This theme celebrates the past six and a half decades while emphasizing a future-focused collaboration.

Eligibility

The logo competition is open to all citizens of Nigeria and Sweden.

However, the following are not eligible:

  • Employees of the Embassy of Sweden in Nigeria
  • Staff of Swedish government agencies
  • Immediate family members of embassy or agency personnel

This opens the door for both emerging and established creatives to participate.

Required Submission Materials

To complete an entry, participants must submit the following:

  1. Logo files
    • In both colour and black-and-white versions
    • In a scalable vector format suitable for both print and digital use (PDF, PNG, or high-resolution JPEG)
    • Files must be named in the format: FullName_Country (e.g., AishaOkafor_Nigeria.pdf)
  2. Signed Consent and Copyright Agreement
    • Creators must state that their work is original and grant the embassy the rights to use, adapt, and reproduce the logo for official purposes.
  3. Short Bio of the Creator
    • Maximum 150 words
    • Optional description of the design and concept.

Deadline

All submissions must be received by 31 January 2026.

Entrants are encouraged to send their submissions early and ensure they follow all guidelines. Entries sent after the deadline or missing required information will not be considered.

  • Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Youth Development
