About the Program:
SAYPHIN is a platform for building greater capacity and promoting adolescent health research and effective services with a view to building new partnerships, obtaining new grants and initiating new dimensions of activities that will make us a Regional Centre of Excellence in Adolescent Health in Sub-Saharan Africa, such that we can not only nurture individuals but also mentor centres and institutions. SAYPHIN is passionate about promoting the dignity, competencies and capacities, confidence, character and active involvement of young people in national health and development agenda.
Its aim and objectives includes:
- To advance the practice of adolescent health and medicine in Nigeria through policy advocacy, partnership building with professional groups, development partners including governmental agencies, civil society organisations, academic and research institutions, and international development organizations
- To foster communication and collaborative actions among adolescent and youth health practitioners to improve young people’s health
- To increase awareness about the health and development situations and needs of adolescents and other young people in Nigeria

- Mental Health – Tackle depression, anxiety, or addiction in young people
- Nutrition – Solve undernutrition or obesity in adolescents
- Sexual & Reproductive Health – Address STIs and teenage pregnancy

Eligibility Criteria for the Program:
- Applicants MUST be between the ages of 13 and 25 years old
- Applicants MUST possess a brilliant idea that uses AI for social good

Tasks for the Competition:
- Create an AI-powered solution
- Design a prototype using Figma
- Prepare a clear pitch deck showing the problem and your solution not more than 10 slides.
