About the scholarship program:
The Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, OSOPADEC was established by the Laws of Ondo State CAP. 106 in 2001 to intervene in the development of the oil producing and impacted areas of Ondo State. Its vision is to be the most proactive and responsive interventionist agency that satisfies stakeholders’ aspirations with excellence in service delivery with a mission to transform the lives of the people and ensure total prosperity and sustainable development through intervention programmes in the oil producing areas of Ondo State.
With this said mission to transform lives, the commission has affected the lives of promising yet underprivileged undergraduate students who are in need of funding in their education. With 5000 different beneficiaries in 2023/2024, A total of more than 54,000 beneficiaries and more than 14 different awards presented since its inception in 2004/2005, the commision is on track to make education affordable to all.
The Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission ( OSOPADEC) , hereby invites interested and qualified indigenous tertiary institutions Students from Ilaje and Ese-Odo Local Government Areas to participate in the 2023/2024 academic session of the Commission’s Scholarship/Bursary Scheme.
Eligibility Criteria for the OSOPADEC scholarship/Bursary award:
All interested applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Applicant MUST be an indigenes of either Ilaje and/ Ese-Odo Local Government Areas
- Applicant MUST be a full-time student of recognized public/private institutions within the country as at 2023/2024 academic session.
- Both undergraduates and post graduates as well as Law School Students are eligible to apply in so much as their studentship is acknowledged by their school/university authorities; and
- All part-time/sandwich/pre degree/NTI/diploma students and institutions not accredited by relevant authorities are not qualified for this award.

Online registration requirement:
All applicants for the 2023/2024 edition of OSOPADEC Scholarship/Bursary Scheme must possess and upload the following documents in the relevant fields:
- One recent passport photograph
- Certificate of Local Government of Origin
- JAMB admission Letter
- School fees receipts for 2023/2024 Academic session
- Current valid Student Identity Card (I.D)
Additional Information for all Applicants:
- Change of bank will not be entertained after submission of applications;
- Applicants registration slip must be printed out, signed and stamped by the Dean of Student Sffairs / HOD of institutions (as applicable) ; and
- Signed slip MUST be uploaded to complete the registration.
