NWAG Scholarship 2025. (How to Apply)

About the Scholarship Program:

 NWAG is pleased to announce its scholarship program for 2025, aimed at supporting female undergraduates in Nigerian universities. The NWAG scholarship presents a unique opportunity for female undergraduates in Nigerian universities to receive financial support for their education.

Benefits of the Scholarship Program:

• Winners will receive $300, while 1st and 2nd runners-up will receive $150 and $100, respectively.
• Networking Opportunities

Eligibility Criteria for the Scholarship Program:

• Must be a female undergraduate enrolled in a Nigerian university (excluding final year students).
• Must be a Nigerian citizen.
• Must provide proof of state of origin.
• Must submit the required documents as listed below.

Supporting Documents:

• Proof of state of origin: Letter of Origination from the university or a letter from the local government office.
• Two letters of recommendation from any two of the following:
  • Pastor or Imam
  • Village Head
  • Local Government Chairperson
  • University Lecturer or Head of the Department.
• One letter of recommendation from either the Dean of your Faculty or School Head of your Department.
• Photocopy of current university student identification.
• Current photograph of the applicant.
• An explanation of why the scholarship is needed and why the applicant deserves it (not exceeding one-half typed page).
• A typed, double-spaced, two-page essay on the given topic; “Analyze how technology can be leveraged to address gender-based violence (GBV) in Nigeria, including facilitating reporting, access to services, and creating safe spaces for survivors. Evaluate current interventions and propose innovative solutions for ensuring timely and effective assistance for GBV survivors.”

Application Deadline:

Applications for the NWAG scholarship program are open till the 31st of May, 2025. Early applications are highly encouraged.
