About the scholarship:

NNPC/SEPLAT Joint Venture is Nigeria’s leading independent energy company charged with increasing access to cleaner energy and driving Nigeria’s energy transition towards cleaner, more reliable energy that is accessible to all.

Its mission is to lead Nigeria’s energy transition with accessible, affordable and reliable energy that drives social and economic prosperity and its vision is to deliver sustainable energy solutions for society. NNPC/SEPLAT Joint Venture is also committed to community service and impacting lives in various aspects including education by means of providing scholarships to deserving students all over the country.

It is on the premise that the NNPC/SEPLAT Joint Venture has announced the commencement of its 2024 National Undergraduate Scholarship Programme. The scholarship award is open to deserving undergraduate students of Federal and State Universities in Nigeria.

The SEPLAT JV Scholarship Scheme is one of Seplat’s educational Corporate Social Investment programmes and is designed to promote educational development and human capacity building through provision of yearly grants to successful applicants to complete their degree programmes.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicants MUST be in their second year of study or above.
• Applicants MUST have at least 5 O’ level credit passes (English & Mathematics inclusive) at one sitting.
• Applicants must have a CGPA of 3.5 and above.

Only students studying any of the following courses are eligible to apply:

• Chemical Engineering
• Civil Engineering
• Computer Engineering/Science
• Economics
• Electrical / Electronic Engineering
• Environmental Studies
• Geology
• Geophysics
• Law
• Mass Communication
• Mechanical Engineering
• Medicine
• Metallurgical Engineering
• Ophthalmology/Optometry
• Petroleum Engineering
