About the KAWEF Scholarship

Since 2021, the Kunle Ade Wahab Educational Foundation has offered scholarships to 10 students from Ikorodu communities who are enrolled at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Lagos State University (LASU), Caleb University, or Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH).

The foundation is an initiative of Emeritus Prof. Kunle Ade Wahab, OFR, OON, an Emeritus Professor of Building at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and former Special Adviser to former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Due Process.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

  1. Be a Nigerian citizen.
  2. Be a citizen of Lagos State.
  3. Be a citizen of Ikorodu Division.
  4. Be a registered student in a government-recognised university in Nigeria.
  5. Be in Year 3, 4 or 5.
  6. Be studying at one of the eligible universities.

Applicants must be from one of these areas:

  • Ikorodu Central
  • Ikorodu North
  • Ikorodu West
  • Igbogbo-Baiyeku
  • Ijede
  • Imota

Eligible Universities

The scholarship is available to students of:

  1. Lagos State University (LASU)
  2. Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU)
  3. Caleb University
  4. Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH), Ikorodu and Ijanikin

Eligible Programmes

Applicants must be studying one of the following:

  • Architecture
  • Building Technology
  • Quantity Surveying
  • Estate Management
  • Civil Engineering

Required Documents

Applicants must provide:

  2. Admission letter
  3. School ID card
  4. Personal statement/Statement of Purpose (SOP)
  5. Local Government Identification/Indigeneship Certificate
  6. Letter from a Traditional Ruler
