About the Scholarship Program:
This initiative, championed by the administration of His Excellency Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, aims to sponsor talented and bright minds. The scholarship will support graduates with advanced education opportunities. The scholarship programme was revived in 2023, with the first batch launched in October of the same year. During this phase, 550 students were sponsored for Master’s programmes in specialized fields at universities in India and Uganda. The government continues this legacy by opening applications for the second batch of this life-changing opportunity.

Eligibility Criteria of the Scholarship Program:
Applicants for the Kano State Government Postgraduate Scholarship MUST satisfy the following conditions:
- Be a recognised indigene of Kano State.
- Hold a First-Class Honours Degree or equivalent from a reputable university or institution.
- Be aged 30 years or younger for four-to-five-year degree holders or 35 years or younger for degrees exceeding five years.
- Demonstrate good health through a valid medical fitness certificate.
- Be prepared to attend a physical screening interview.
- Have completed the NYSC programme or possess a valid exemption or exclusion certificate.
- Not currently benefit from any other scholarship or full sponsorship programme.
- Submit a personal statement of approximately 500 words.
- Agree to the terms and conditions of the scholarship if awarded.
