About the Scholarship Program:

CES supports multidisciplinary students from tertiary institutions across Nigeria and propels them to consistently reach for excellence by rewarding their academic achievements.

What Characterizes a Collegiate Education Scholar?

  • Academic excellence: CE scholars are collaborative learners who demonstrate a compelling curiosity for knowledge. They achieve excellent academic results and leverage their outstanding performance for personal growth and professional development.
  • Leadership: CE scholars are intentional, thoughtful, and courageous leaders who take responsibility to create positive change and inspire others to achieve the same.
  • Community service: CE scholars are passionate about humanitarian service and strive to promote the greater good of society.

Benefits of the Scholarship Program:

A Collegiate Education Scholar will receive:

  • Tuition Fee.
  • Delegate fee to the next JCI Nigeria National Convention.
  • One-year mentorship by an experienced person in his field of study.
  • Opportunity to join the CE scholars’ network and be featured on the JCI Nigeria CES page.
  • Opportunity to attend the annual scholars conference.

Eligibility Criteria of the Scholarship Program:

The applicant for Collegiate Education Scholarship must:

  • Be enrolled in a tertiary institution in Nigeria including a university, polytechnic, mono-technic, or college of education.
  • Be a JCI Nigeria collegiate member for at least one year and submit a certificate of induction or proof of membership from his local organization which shall bear the date and year of induction.
  • Be in penultimate year.
  • Hold a cumulative grade point of 4.5 on a 5.0 scale or 3.6 on a 4.0 scale

Application Deadline:

The deadline for application for this scholarship program is not specified hence early applications are highly encouraged.

Application Process:

  • Submit an application online using the Apply Now button.
  • Submit proof of one year membership of a JCI Nigeria Collegiate Local Organization.
  • Provide a 500-word reflective personal statement that describes the applicant, outlines his academic achievements, career goals and reasons for applying for the scholarship.
  • Submit two-page resume/cv in times new romans, font 12.
  • Submit an unofficial academic transcript or a letter confirming his cumulative grade point from his faculty dean, head of department, examination officer, or course adviser.
  • Submit two recommendation letters from his lecturer and local organization president/or a serving national officer. The recommendation from a lecturer should highlight his academic background while that of the president/national officer should highlight commitments to JCI.
  • Be shortlisted and write the final examination.
  • Complete the scholarship interview.
