The Shara Climate Champions Fellowship 2026 is now accepting applications from young people who want to build their knowledge, skills, networks and experience in climate action and community leadership.
The fellowship is organized through Shara Climate Academy, an initiative of Shara Eco Solutions Ltd.
About the Shara Climate Champions Fellowship
The fellowship is designed for young people who are ready to take action on climate and environmental challenges.
It combines learning, peer connection and practical community action, giving participants the opportunity to develop a stronger voice, expand their network and work on a practical project they can be proud of.
The programme follows three key stages:
- Learn: Build a strong climate foundation.
- Lead: Turn ideas into community action.
- Impact: Join a network shaping tomorrow.
What You Will Learn
The fellowship covers several important areas:
Climate Education
Participants will build practical knowledge of climate change, sustainability and environmental challenges.
Green Innovation
Participants will explore solutions that turn environmental challenges into opportunities for action.
Community Climate Action
Fellows will design and implement a practical climate-action initiative in their community.
Leadership & Advocacy
The programme will help participants develop their communication, leadership and community engagement skills.
Media & Information Literacy
Participants will learn how to communicate climate issues clearly and help communities navigate misinformation.
Programme Duration and Format
The Shara Climate Champions Fellowship is a 12-week blended programme.
The programme moves from application and review to shortlisting and selection before successful fellows begin the fellowship.
Application Process
There is no application fee.
Applicants are advised to set aside approximately 20 minutes to complete the application and answer the questions honestly. The application allows applicants to move between the different steps without losing their responses.
