About the Scholarship Program:
The Danladi Yunana Foundation (DYF) is a registered charity (CAC No: RC–7645226) in Nigeria, headquartered in Jalingo, Taraba State. DYF is dedicated to uplifting young people from underserved communities who face systemic barriers to educational opportunities. DYF draws inspiration from the remarkable journey of its founder, Dr. Danladi Yunana—who grew up in a low-income neighbourhood in Maiduguri, born to parents with no formal education. Against the odds, he went on to earn three academic degrees across three continents: Africa, Europe, and Australia. His story is a testament to the power of resilience, education, and hope.
Guided by this legacy, DYF  works to expand access to education, mentorship, and leadership development — starting in Dr. Yunana’s home state of Taraba and reaching across Northern Nigeria. DYF operates with a volunteer-led team and guidance from a strategic advisory council. To date, DYF has impacted over 90 students across multiple universities in Nigeria through its scholarship and mentorship initiatives. The foundation aims to build a world where every individual is empowered to lead fulfilled and meaningful lives through reputable access to quality education by fostering educational and professional growth opportunities within underprivileged and underrepresented communities to drive systemic change.
The DASS program supports and empowers science students who are passionate about inspiring the next generation in STEM.

Eligibility Criteria of the Scholarship Program:
Interested candidates for this scholarship program MUST fulfill the following requirements:
- Applicants MUST be students Majoring in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics in higher education of learning (University)
- Applicant MUST be a student with Academic merit as with minimum of 3.5 CGPA from previous academic session.
- Applicant’s leadership potential as demonstrated by levels of responsibility and office bearing in the school and surrounding.
- Applicant MUST have sufficient community Engagement, as well as confirmed indications of community Engagements and Extra-curricular activity.
- Unlike previous years when the Danladi Yunana Foundation Scholarship was open for public submission, this year’s application is strictly reserved for indigenes of Taraba State who are studying STEM-Related Courses

Application Deadline:
Applications for the scholarship program are open for entries until the 2nd of November, 2025. Early applications are highly encouraged.
